Watching Capital Tonight (...don’t miss a show. Yes, I am a bit geeky that way) I listened to an interview with Republican NYS assembly minority leader, Brian Kolb.
You know I have been very outspoken about those Republicans in office who are silent in the midst of the behavior coming from 45. While many of us can disagree on policy, you would think certain behaviors are unacceptable across the board.
Tonight assemblyman Kolb was asked by Liz Benjamin if he would ever change his party registration as others have from Republican to Independent.
His response, “Absolutely not. And, by the way, I’m a Republican but I’m not a Donald Trump Republican. . .”
This is the first time I have seen or heard a NYS Republican make a bold statement separating himself from trump.
While there will always be policy disagreements, and he hasn’t had an unblemished record, this Republican assemblyman earned props tonight. Will others follow his lead?
